FESTIVAL OF THE HORSES
The Georgetown Fire Department will kick off the festivities on Thursday evening, October 1st, with the 8th annual Fireman's Chili Cook-off. Join in the fun and sample many different chili's. A great family night out for four under $20. Proceeds go to Toys for Tots for Georgetown/Scott County.

The Festival of the Horse will take place on the streets of downtown Georgetown October 2-4, 2009. The Annual event will celebrate its' 30th anniversary in downtown this fall. The Festival of the Horse has promoted Scott County's horse heritage, the downtown community and the interaction between the two for the past 29 years. Family oriented activities and entertainment are featured.

THE BATTLE OF PERRYVILLE
147th Commemoration of the Battle of Perryville - 10/3/09 to 10/4/09
147th Commemoration of the Battle of Perryville. A weekend long event dedicate to the memory of the Civil War soldiers who fought and died in Kentucky's largest Civil War Battle. The weekend will feature numerous speakers, music and the two full scale battles.
